JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for imparting pre and post licensing, Pre-service, Refreshers and corrective training, evaluation of all Taxi & Limousine drivers under the ambit of the department.

KEY RESULTS ACCOUNTABILITIES
Deliver classroom training to all Passenger carrying drivers and school bus
attendants by using the recommended training methodology, PPT programs,
Manuals and the SMART training aids
Impart pre-licensing driving training to overseas/ locally recruited drivers on dual
control cars to enable them to obtain UAE Light vehicle driving license.
Impart technical training, vehicle familiarization, Automated Vehicle
Management operation, GPS and navigation system programming to newly
inducted drivers for Taxi & Limousine services.
Impart training on Defensive driving, Highway Code, lane discipline, traffic light
signals, road signs, customer relations, Discipline etc.
Impart advanced driving training, which includes sub-urban, urban, CBD area
night driving to all pre-service drivers.
Conduct surveys on driver opinion about vehicles, training, welfare issues, and
passenger relations.
Impart route familiarization training to all pre-service drivers and during
refreshers familiarize with new routes, changes to existing routes etc.
Conduct driving skills evaluation of drivers who undergo induction, refresher and
corrective training
Maintain all records manually as well as electronically pertaining to the trainees.
Prepare periodical reports and conduct classroom based theoretical, knowledge
tests and maintain records of all results
Coordinate with taxi companies to update them with trainees progress and to
schedule drivers for training
Prepare handouts, power point presentations with the assistance of the
specialist/ officers in-charge for onward distribution to the participants
Conduct training at the premises of the franchise operators if such demand
arises
Reports for Administrative actions against the drivers in the event of any
absenteeism or violations to the scheduled programs.
COMMUNICATIONS AND WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Maintain training attendance records.
Liaise with training officers for reports & scheduling drivers for training.
Attend weekly departmental meetings to discuss problems & issues related to
