The Post: Teacher of Business Studies
We are looking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Business Studies to join the College. Business Studies is amongst our most popular options subjects at both GCSE and A Level; with 9 groups across GCSE and 8 groups across the A Level cohort, this is a fantastic opportunity to teach Business Studies to an advanced level. Behaviour in the College is outstanding and the positive relationships between students and teachers, alongside the highly motivated student body means that teachers can focus on teaching their subject and developing their pedagogy.
The successful candidate will be a practitioner within an exceptional department. In 2022 the results were outstanding. In GCSE Business Studies 79% of students received grades 9-7, out of which over 52% achieved grade 9-8. At A Level Business Studies 82% achieved A* – B out of which 54% were A*/A.
The opportunities which Business Studies presents for students is central to the philosophy of the school. As a result, this appointment is crucial to the continued development of Jumeirah College.
The successful applicant will be required to have the following:
A B.Ed. or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge.
At least 3 years experience of the National Curriculum for England.
Experience teaching GCSE and A-Level. We are seeking to appoint talented, highly motivated and well-qualified individuals. You should have a proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching.
A mindset which understands all students have the potential for top performance, and the drive and passion to enable them to do so.
Experience which will enable a contribution to our enriched curriculum programme.
