Maxar is seeking a Sales Manager with a focus on Central Asian countries. This role will be a matrixed solution sales leader/coach for key countries in the region. This is a unique opportunity for a highly skilled sales professional to succeed by growing Maxars Public Sector, Defense and Intelligence customer portfolio. As an individual contributor you will focus on hunting and building a pipeline of opportunities within the Central Asia Public Sector, Defense and Intelligence domain. You will position Maxar as a key source of the worlds leading geospatial products and services and as a trusted advisor to help customers solve complex problems by understanding their key pain points. The position requires strong prospecting and communication skills, sophisticated business acumen, and the ability to drive the development and successful market launch of both established and new offerings to new customers. This role will succeed via enablement and direction from regional leadership and will support the business strategy set forth by Maxars Vice President of Global Product Sales for the EMEAR region.
Rigorous qualification and assessment of innovation projects and sales opportunities focusing resources on those opportunities/projects which differentiate in the marketplace.
The primary focus will be on Government solution sales across the region. On occasion, as directed by the regional leadership, efforts may extend beyond the region or into other industries for complex deals or new product launches.
Articulate and clearly communicate with multiple Maxar stakeholders and leaders with consistency and integrity.
Drive new customer acquisition as well as drive new growth from key existing customers
Responsible for achieving and exceeded sales quotas and meet OKRs aligned with revenue targets
Manager complex sales cycles and manage a seven-figure portfolio of customers
Manage a 12-to-24-month pipeline and sales forecast
Articulate and clearly communicate with multiple Maxar stakeholders and leaders with consistency and integrity
Enroll in the Sandler sales methodology
Minimum 5 10 years of successful track record selling ideas, technology and solutions to middle and upper management is a requirement.
Sales experience in earth observation, remote sensing, GIS technologies or similar
Target-driven with strong interpersonal skills and the aptitude to cope with the pressure of a target-driven environment
Ability to lead, influence and negotiate at senior levels
Deep customer knowledge and network.
Self-motivated with good interpersonal and negotiating skills.
Results-oriented team player with a demonstrated high level of integrity.
Demonstrates creativity in developing winning solutions.
Works well in a dynamic environment where some of the parameters are unknown and change is a given.
Previous experience in business development /sales in the National / Ministry- level space intelligence, earth observation industry, or similar intelligence analysis work.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, other languages an asset.
Strong knowledge of relevant technologies, products, services, and methods.
Excellent industry and market awareness.
Agility with enterprise CRM tools.
Able to travel, averaging about 25% with potential peaks up to 50%-75% travel.
Experience as a people manager for an enterprise sales organization
Existing relevant intimate customer relationships
Previous experience in business development /sales in space intelligence, earth observation industry or similar intelligence analysis work.
