Job Title: SITE SUPERVISOR – FOREMAN
Job Purpose The Site Foreman in the Joinery Industry is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing and managing on-site construction, installation, and finishing of joinery and woodworking projects.
This role involves supervising a team of skilled workers, coordinating with clients and contractors, and ensuring the successful execution of projects while maintaining high-quality standards and adherence to safety protocols.
Collaborate with project managers, designers, and clients to understand project requirements, plans, and timelines.
Organize and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and specifications.
Supervision And Leadership
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of skilled workers, including carpenters, installers, and finishers.
Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective work execution.
Construction And Installation
Oversee the construction, assembly, and installation of joinery products, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
Monitor progress and quality, addressing any issues or discrepancies as they arise.
Conduct regular quality checks on completed work to ensure that joinery products are installed accurately and meet high-quality standards.
Implement corrective actions for any deviations from design specifications.
Safety And Compliance
Enforce safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe working environment for the construction and installation teams.
Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure that all workers are following safety guidelines.
Identify and resolve on-site challenges, obstacles, and issues that may arise during construction and installation.
Make decisions quickly to ensure project progress and quality.
Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and quality assessments.
Generate reports on project metrics, including timelines, efficiency, and any incidents.
Ensure that necessary tools, equipment, and materials are available and properly utilized during construction and installation activities.
Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to manage inventory and transport.
Qualifications And Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent;
Proven experience as a site foreman or site supervisor in the joinery.
Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, joinery methods, and construction processes.
Leadership and team management skills.
Proficiency in using a wide range of carpentry tools and equipment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team interaction.
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Understanding of safety protocols and regulations in construction environments.
F&B experience is a plus
