Honeywell is looking for a creative, driven Senior Manager, Communications, Middle East and North Africa (MENA) to shape and lead strategic and tactical communications activities that strengthen Honeywells MENA employee engagement, advance its external brand presence and drive sales. This role is based in our regional headquarters in Dubai
Responsibilities
Driving executive communications for Honeywells regional leadership including the president and CEO Middle East and North Africa, in additional to global executives communications strategies when in region
Leading the planning, development, execution and amplification of media and other external communication activities, ensuring close alignment to sales and marketing priorities
Leading the development and execution of regional communication strategies to drive employee engagement and in alignment with the Companys direction, and community relations strategies to support our communities while promoting our brand
Providing regional communications counsel to both regional and global internal stakeholders
Generate, review and approve impactful external communications-related materials for the MENA region to Associated Press (AP) standard, such as press releases, messaging documents, briefing materials, executive speeches, presentations, brochures, and social copy
Oversee the regional PR agency relationship, in coordination with business marketing stakeholders
Coordinate editorial work on external communications (press releases, Q&As, media statements and backgrounders) across Honeywells myriad businesses and functions
Have close relationships with international, national and business media to increase awareness of the companys corporate image, reputation and brand
Develop and lead the Companys overall internal communications planning and strategies in support of employee engagement and the positioning of Honeywell as a leading software technology company at the forefront of sustainability and digital transformation
Raise the bar on employee messaging through communications that are simple, visually compelling and readily understood by diverse audiences
Surface stories to support brand promotion and maximize exposure at key regional and international events including COP, WEF, GITEX, ADIPEC and Dubai Airshow
Lead executive communications in support of the regional President and CEO, and the functional leaders on his staff, with oversight of global and regional town meetings/town halls
Work with business and functional leaders on crisis management
Amplify results and brand positioning across the regions social and digital platforms
Lead a metrics-based communications reporting program for the region to demonstrate the value of communications in supporting business growth
Provide advice and counsel to senior business leaders on communications issues, staff interviews and media trainings
You Must Have
Possess outstanding written and verbal communications skills, with an understanding of AP style
Have at least 10 years comms experience including in large technology/industrial companies, with additional PR agency experience strongly preferred Significant experience working in the Middle East; familiarity with Honeywell technologies/core industries strongly preferred
Have a multicultural, stress-resistant personality, together with a natural team spirit and positive, creative work ethic
Have a proven ability to handle multiple assignments and deadlines and effectively manage projects to conclusion to time and budget
Have a proven ability to operate strategically, tactically, and operationally
Be experienced in digital communications, with previous experience in leading online and social media projects and demonstrating a clear understanding of the role social media plays in driving thought leadership
Cross-discipline communications experience in media relations, employee communications, and crisis management is preferred
Be willing and able to travel 10% of the time, sometimes at short notice
Possess a university degree, preferably in Journalism, Public Relations or Communications
