The Caterpillar Building Construction Product Division is hiring a Construction Industries Retail Development Consultant responsible for several European territories. Our Retail Development Consultants focus on Retail Customers, with an emphasis on leveraging both physical and digital solutions with our Caterpillar Dealers to help these customers succeed.
In this role, you will drive focus with your assigned dealers on customers that purchase few machines or purchase infrequently. You will lead initiatives to increase revenue and growth for the Construction Industries machine business, to meet critical sales and marketing targets through dealer retail transformation. To achieve this growth, you will work closely with our dealers to improve retail marketing and sales capabilities, optimize the retail customer experience, and increase productivity and efficiencies whilst reducing distribution costs
Specifically, as the Construction Industry Retail Development Consultant, you can expect to:
Manage dealer retail business transformation and retail journey steps, focused on physical proximity and digital channels to reach potential retail customers
Manage assigned dealer growth plan development, alignment, and execution, including budget aimed at expanding retail sales of prime products through transformation
Advise dealers on retail marketing, sales and customer-related strategies, systems, and processes
Counsel dealers in developing increased human performance capability such as identifying performance gap solutions
Advising on existing and potential customer experience issues and improvement measures such as recommending ways to enhance market coverage and customer experience through training, technology enabled and bundled solutions, etc.
Consult with dealers on process improvement methods and assisting with process evaluation
Oversee and promote programs that increase sales while achieving price realization and profit margins
Lead retail specific projects at a dealer, region and/or global level for retail transformation.
Continue to develop required proficiency level in the specified capabilities and skills.
To be successful in this role, you must bring (Basic Qualifications):
Minimum Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Experience growing and executing plans and achieving results
Demonstrated increase in responsibility across B2B and customer facing roles
Ability to work independently and to communicate effectively with others in the work group, dealer personnel and customers
Top Candidates Will Also Bring
Experience in B2B financial management, understanding profitability drivers and tactics for cost control
Demonstrated ability to work on increasingly more complex assignments and provide direction to business partners on project assignments.
Ability to translate challenging goals into clear action plans that deliver results
Strong negotiation skills: ability to influence and persuade as well as build strong relationships
Self-starter with strong initiative, ability to work autonomously, positive attitude
Excellent listening, communication, and presentation skills
Works effectively in teams, making the team they are part of stronger
