Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
Progressively responsible experience in construction work with emphasis on materials testing, quality control and assurance, laboratory testing and a firm understanding of requirements and specifications of testing and materials.
Demonstrated experience in pre-stressing works and quality control, and experience in different classes of concrete mix-design, under different condition of construction procedures.
Knowledge of procurement practices an advantage.
Responsibilities:
Review the material Data sheet and confirm its compliance to the required specifications
Preparation of the method statement and ensure its approval from the concerned prior to implementation
Review the comments on the method statement and ensure team awareness and compliance or propose an alternative approach/process when necessary
Submit inspection request and review as well as follow up the outcome and circulate results to the concerned
Issue internal or onsite observations and propose solutions
Conduct site surveillance regularly
Prepare weekly and monthly QA-QC reports
Demonstrated planning and organizational skills and ability to coordinate the work of others, work on tight deadlines, and handle multiple concurrent activities;
High degree of personal initiative and willingness to accept wide responsibilities;
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity;
Excellent communication skills (spoken, written and presentational), including ability to present sensitive issues/positions and to write reports and technical decisions quantitatively justified;
Proficiency in usage of computers, office software packages and advance design management software.
Competent user of project control software, such as MS Project or primavera.
