They specialize in structural fabrication and construction, with a strong presence in the region. Our client is in search of an experienced Procurement Manager to play a pivotal role in their ongoing success, particularly focusing on architectural projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute procurement strategies, policies, and procedures tailored to the industry.
Oversee the entire procurement process, including vendor selection, negotiation, contracting, and supplier relationship management.
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct due diligence, and provide recommendations based on quality, cost, delivery, and other relevant factors.
Engage in negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions, ensuring competitive pricing and risk mitigation.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align procurement needs with business objectives.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering open communication and addressing any issues or disputes promptly.
Monitor and assess supplier performance against predefined metrics, addressing any performance gaps.
Continuously seek opportunities to streamline and enhance procurement processes, promoting efficiency and cost savings.
Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to proactively identify potential risks and implement suitable mitigation strategies.
Analyze data and generate comprehensive reports on procurement activities, including spend analysis, cost savings, and supplier performance.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field.
Demonstrated experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role within the joinery industry.
Profound knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain management, and contract negotiation.
Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret data for data-driven decision-making.
Outstanding negotiation and communication abilities.
Proficiency in utilizing procurement software and tools.
Effective multitasking in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects.
Strong attention to detail and organizational prowess.
Problem-solving orientation with a strategic mindset.
