We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Portfolio Manager to join our team. As the Portfolio Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the assortment of products offered in our retail stores and online channels. Your keen insights, analytical abilities, and industry knowledge will drive informed decision-making for product offerings, pricing strategies, and assortment improvements.
ROLES &RESPOSIBILITIES
Assortment Management:
Conduct thorough category analysis to understand market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.
Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to curate a diverse assortment of pet products that cater to different pet needs and customer segments.
Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
Regularly review and update assortment based on changing customer demands and market dynamics.
Sales Trends Analysis:
Analyze sales data to identify trends, patterns, and performance metrics for different product categories.
Develop actionable insights from sales trends to enhance the effectiveness of the product assortment.
Utilize data to identify underperforming and high-potential products for targeted action.
Pricing Strategies:
Develop effective pricing strategies that reflect market dynamics, customer value, and competitive positioning.
Monitor pricing trends and adjust strategies as needed to maintain competitiveness and profitability.
New Product Introductions and Discontinuations:
Research and identify emerging trends in the pet industry to recommend new product introductions.
Make informed decisions regarding the discontinuation of underperforming products to streamline the assortment.
Reporting and Recommendations:
Prepare detailed reports summarizing category performance, sales trends, and key insights.
Present findings and recommendations to the Head of Department for pricing adjustments, new product introductions, and product discontinuations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on assortment strategies and execution plans.
Skills & Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
Proven experience in portfolio management, assortment planning, or category management.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills for reporting insights and recommendations.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work collaboratively across teams.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software is a plus.
Previous experience in the Petcare business is highly preferred.
