We have a Current ongoing vacancy with reputed Hospitals and Clinics for Podiatrists in UAE and Qatar .
Podiatrists are medical specialists who help with problems that affect your feet or lower legs. They can treat injuries as well as complications from ongoing health issues like diabetes.
Job Duties And Types Of Treatment
As a Podiatrist you will be responsible for carrying out below mentioned responsibilities:
Prescription medications
Orthopedics
Cryotherapy
Electro surgery
Ultrasonic
Specialized dressing
Exercise therapies
Assess, diagnose and treat abnormalities and diseases related to the foot and lower limb in people of all ages
Provide treatment of high-risk patient group such as the elderly and those with increased risk of amputation
Give advice and make referrals as appropriate
Use therapeutic and surgical techniques to treat foot and lower leg issues (eg: carrying out nail and soft tissue surgery using local anesthetic)
Prescribe, produce and fit orthotics and other aids and appliances
Deliver foot health education
Understand the mechanics of body in order to preserve, restore and develop movement
Work with people in sports to address sports-related injuries to legs and feet
Use a range of equipments including surgical instruments, dressing, treatment tables, orthotic (inner sole) materials, lasers, grinders, shaping equipment, X Ray and video gait-analysis equipment (which allows for analysis of patients walking or running problems)
Comply with all OSH and infection control policies, standards and procedures and cooperate with Hospital Management to comply those requirements
Work accordance with the documented OSH procedures and instructions, specific responsibilities
Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures
Notify OSH hazards, incidents, near misses and issues and assistance with preparation of risk assessments, incident reports
Comply with waste management procedures and policies
Attend applicable OSH / Infection Control training programs, mock drills and awareness programs
Use of appropriate personal protective equipments and safety systems
Requirements
Bachelors degree or diploma in Podiatry from an accredited college (minimum of three (3) years course duration) or
MSc degree in Podiatry or Doctor of Podiatry
Any Nationality
MOH/HAAD/DHA Qatar license preferred
Western Qualification an added advantage
Salary open and negotiable
3+ years experience post specialization
Must have valid license
