About the job
As Mechanical Engineer you will be working with the mechanical team to design Robotics solutions, Irrigation system and different electro-mechanical system related to planting operations. You will support planting Ghaf seeds in the desert to help lower carbon emissions and ultimately, combat climate change through cutting-edge technology.
Designing, developing, and enhancing mechanical systems and mechatronic devices
Validating the prototype, conducting field tests.
Creating systems to control and integrate the irrigation payloads on moving platforms.
Conducting research, documenting findings, and presenting reports at internal meetings
Developing design documents/reports, drawings for mechanical parts and final products
Conducting extensive testing on prototype including mechanical, hydraulic performance, outdoor functioning.
Selecting the required tools and materials for the manufacturers and guiding the manufacturing process.
Create CAD models and should have experience with 3D printing as well as drafting.
Assist the electronics and software team for product development.
Create prototypes as per project definition.
University degree in Mechanical engineering (preferred) with a focus on & Automation, Robotics
Minimum of 4+ years industrial experience.
Proficient in design platforms such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD for 2D and 3D modelling.
Experience of designing hydraulic equipment, dripping irrigation, pipeline routing as a preference
Passionate about sustainability and the environment; driven by a desire to positively impact global reforestation.
