Job Responsibilities
This role requires the successful candidate to:
Enhances the organisations human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resource policies, programs, and practices
Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; dealing with employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors
Show a strong business acumen, keeping updated and aligned on our business strategy, goals, priorities, talent strengths and risks. Ensure you are always informed and aware of industry trends and market practices. Build strong relationships with your key business leaders/stakeholders
Partner with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business initiatives
Design and implement employee retention strategies. Provide strategic and operational advice and recommendations to both business leaders and the HR Team
Manage recruitment strategies to meet the needs of the business in conjunction with the HR Officer
Provide leadership to the HR Officer to ensure the successful delivery of their role, and develop a department that provides a high quality and people-focused service to its management, staff and potential candidates
Provide reports on all areas of HR, Payroll and Learning and Development, including the application of Employment Law, HR policy, best practice and staff development
Advise, and strategise, on the development of effective employment policies across the business, with the support of the HR Officer
Lead on UAE Labour Law, workforce development, legal compliance HR Policy and best practices
Drive a high-performance culture within the business, whilst also providing thoughtful and effective coaching to business leaders on all aspects of leadership to help grow, develop, and maximise their capabilities
Cultivate a professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
Skills & Requirements:
Bachelors degree in human resources management or equivalent
7+ years of experience in progressively responsible human resource roles
Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including compensation, performance management, safety, recruitment and employee relations; able to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations
Proven track record of problem-solving and project management, particularly across various areas within HR, managing multiple areas of delivery in a timely, efficient, and effective way
Detailed understanding of UAE Labour Law
Previous experience of working within a fast growth business or change environment would be advantageous
Able to think strategically and tactically execute key initiatives/deliverables
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office
