Graduate Surveyor Full Time

About the job The Role

A Graduate Surveyor specialising in valuations for loan security and financial reporting. The surveyor will work with a wide range of clients including local, international and private banks, private wealth customers, local and international companies and Government Departments. The role is based out of Dubai but the candidate will be expected to cover Abu Dhabi and other markets as and when required. The position is ideal for those wishing to pursue, or currently pursuing the APC, towards qualification as a member of the RICS.

Key Responsibilities
To carry out valuations for commercial buildings, both existing and new builds, as well as land and other valuations ensuring correct advice and guidance is provided on market values
Conduct valuation assignments, including inspection, valuation, report writing, meeting & presenting to clients
Collate information from internal and external sources on the UAE/Middle East property markets
Maintain a database of information by coordinating with the research and valuation team members
To collaborate with other departments to obtain and provide data on markets (i.e. Research/Agency Teams)
Preparation of reports from data collected on the assignments as and when required
Develop relationships with companies, institutions and other bodies with a view to offering Savills Middle East capabilities and obtaining information on ongoing or future work
Contribute to fee income commensurate with role/experience and as set by the line manager
High quality presentation skills, with the ability to present information accurately and succinctly
Coordinate and manage instructions, specifically the turnaround time whilst maintaining quality control
Manage multiple instructions at the same time efficiently and effectively
Escalating issues to Surveyors/peers/management as required
Support the team in achieving their individual and/or departmental set goals and objectives
Attend internal and external networking events (CPD)
Assist in expanding the client base and develop business with existing client contacts.

Skills, Knowledge And Experience
Educated to bachelor and/or Masters level (RICS Accredited degree)
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Driving license holder (must be able to obtain a UAE driver’s license)
Previous experience in the UAE preferred but not required
Have a sound business knowledge especially within this market sector
Has broad knowledge of Real Estate principles and practices of related disciplines
Understands what generates revenue and makes profit
Strong persuasive and negotiation skills
Excellent reporting and organisational skills
Proactive and excellent team player
Keen eye for details and exceptional rime management/prioritisation skills
Based in the UAE or willing to relocate
