The KSA FRA manager oversees process execution for all FRA matters within KSA, enabling the execution of quality services, manages the GL Accounting, Reporting/Systems, Fixed Assets, Intercompany invoicing. This role supports having systems, documentation, compliance, and reporting in place and supports continuous improvement projects, transitions to provide highly effective and efficient end-to-end processes to the Novartis divisions.
As a KSA FRA manager, he/she will manage the statuary financials of companies and activities by ensuring an accurate assessment of the local entity’s financial condition.
Act as true business partner to the business and NOCC KL and support MEA FRA Head in day to day operations as well as adhocs.
Service Delivery:
Supports transitions and knowledge transfer, monitoring critical deliverables; processes are migrated as per blueprint & timelines
Services provided at expected levels – clear customer focus, including exception handling.
Functional guidance to team. Ensure accurate accounting & financial reporting, resolving escalations.
Maintain good relationship and Services; ensures productivity, continuous improvements and seamless service
Collaborates with key stakeholders
Act as subject matter expert
Support delivery of service levels as per targets
Challenge status quo, making fact based recommendations
Job Description
:
Manage period-end closing / reporting in accordance with local laws and Novartis standards
Ensure correctness of Revenue according to IFRS standards
Ensure correctness and completeness of accruals
Ensure review of significant contracts for appropriate financial terms, technical ac-counting implications, and function alignment
Liaise with MEA FRA head in analyzing, reviewing, and validating monthly reporting pack-age
Support conclusions on complex accounting issues, implementation of reporting pro-jects and/or policies, and continuous process improvement throughout the accounting and reporting cycle
Approve significant journal entries and account reconciliations
Coordinate Internal and External audits
Collaborate with stakeholders, including senior finance colleagues, both internal and external accounting authorities/auditors, and Division and Group FRA, and ensure timely communication with stakeholders as questions or issues arise
Prepare the customer boarding meetings.
Reporting/Systems
Month-end closing, align with accounting
Ensure FCRS figures are correct & close collaboration with key stakeholders
Review NOCC KL work and review their WPs
Preparing the lead sheet for the MEA FRA head to be reviewed and approved
Consult / support BPA / FSC in technical questions.
Compliance
Ensure compliance with NAM, NFCM and regulatory requirements and implementation in internal guidelines
Ensure Novartis control procedures implemented; actively support SOX certification & control framework
Promote strong and control environment and follow up on audit issues and implement correcting measures
Oversee relationships with auditors; support FRA Ops C&C in their review activity.
Ensure all processes, policies and procedures are clearly defined, fully documented, in line with Novartis.

Role Requirements
Education:
(minimum/desirable)
? University level degree in Business Administration/ Economics/Finance or Chartered Accountant / MBA desirable
? Lean/ Six Sigma Certified preferred
Languages:
? English
Experience:
? 8+ years of Financial experience, with in-depth functional expertise
? Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-national, matrix organization
? Previous experience in managing Financial Services
? SAP knowledge
? Experience with Shared service concept and GCC countries is a plus
? Strong Knowledge of IFRS and Tax
? Significant experience in financial accounting and reporting, auditing, tax, costing and financial process engineering, with record of strong control focus and driving / delivering change initiatives
? Arabic & English Speaker
? Experience of managing projects driving performance (e.g. ERP implementation)
? Profound people skills, leadership exposure
