We are looking for a Finance Officer to take charge of the financial health of our company by administering accounting operations to meet legal requirements and help us in shaping our financial strategies, establishing strong financial foundations, and driving our firm’s success.
You should be familiar with audits, invoices and budget preparations. Our ideal candidate demonstrates an interest in managing accounting activities, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable. You should also have excellent organizational skills and be able to handle time-sensitive tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy Development: Collaborate with our leadership team to formulate and execute a comprehensive financial strategy that aligns with our growth objectives and supports fundraising efforts.
Financial Forecasting and Budgeting: Create accurate financial forecasts, budgets, and cash flow projections to guide decision-making and resource allocation, ensuring our financial stability.
Investor Relations: Serve as a point of contact for potential investors, providing them with the necessary financial information and insights to build trust and support our fundraising initiatives.
Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards, offering meaningful insights to stakeholders.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential financial risks and propose proactive strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the security of our financial operations.
Tax Optimization: Implement effective tax strategies, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and identify opportunities for tax incentives to maximize our financial efficiency.
Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to safeguard assets and maintain data accuracy.
Operational Efficiency Enhancement: Identify areas of financial inefficiency within our operations and recommend improvements to enhance overall efficiency.
Compliance Management: Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, ensuring our financial operations remain compliant and adapting to changes as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree: A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, master’s in finance) or relevant certifications (e.g., CPA) are advantageous.
Agency Experience: Previous experience working with an agency or in fast-paced environments, understanding the unique financial challenges we face.
Financial Analysis: Strong financial analysis skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations for strategic decision-making.
Excellent Communication: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and priorities, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
