UAE will host the 28th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP28) in Dubai on 30 Nov to 12 Dec 2023.The COP28 summit will bring global leaders and organisations together to accelerate action towards the goal of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Young changemakers want their voices heard and have little participation in the formal proceedings. EXTREME has made it its mission to give them a seat at the table and a platform for their voice to be heard.
From 3rd 12th December 2023, some of the worlds leading organisations & individuals will join us to inspire & drive debate, discussion & action. This is jointly managed & curated with sponsors, NGOs, and supporters.

About The Role
We are searching for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced Event Staging/ Site Build Manager to join our team for the immediate start for EXTREME Hangout at COP28 Dubai. This position requires exceptional project management skills, expertise in event staging, and the ability to oversee the construction and setup of the event site.
Location: Dubai, UAE (ExpoCity Dubai – COP28)
Contract: Short term contract (3rd 12th December)

Duties & Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate all aspects of event staging, including site layout, temporary structures, audio-visual requirements, lighting, power distribution, and logistics.
Site layout detail- Health & Safety.
Trackway placement.
Technical Greenfield site build- structure positioning & construction supervision (with craning knowledge a bonus)
Contractor liaison & Build schedules.
Understanding of Accreditation, vehicle permit & site pass systems.
Understanding of RAM’s & method statements (Dubai site construction regulations knowledge preferred).
Required Experience And Background
Proven prior site management experience at Expo City Dubai would be viewed very favourably.
Project management experience.
A qualification in Event Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
Must have worked with structures and time sensitive build schedules.
Knowledge of the Dubai events scene with an up to date “black book” of industry contacts.
Familiarity with local regulations and permitting processes in Dubai, UAE.
Risk Management experience.
Knowledge of Audio-Visual production set up a bonus.
