Our client is a regional market leader, specializing in the distribution of quality and reliable aftermarket automotive spares in the UAE, Qatar, MENA, CIS region. They deal with the distribution of Auto parts, Batteries and Lubricants products, etc.
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our International Business department and exclusively focus on the distribution of battery products. This role will involve extensive international travel, primarily to the African region, with the expectation of spending a minimum of 200 days in the field within a year. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position offers commissions based on sales performance. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a similar role.
Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market research in the African region to identify potential clients, assess market trends, and analyze competitor activities. Utilize this information to formulate effective business strategies.
Business Expansion: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our client’s distribution network for battery products in the African region.
Client Acquisition: Proactively seek out and secure new clients and strategic partners within the African automotive aftermarket industry, specifically for battery products.
Relationship Building: Foster and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, partners, and key stakeholders within the African region, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Negotiation and Sales: Engage in negotiations and close deals with clients and partners in the African region, ensuring the successful distribution of battery products.
Sales Target Achievement: Set, monitor, and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs), and regularly report progress to the International Business department.
Marketing Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop and implement tailored marketing campaigns, promotions, and advertising strategies to enhance the visibility of battery products in the African market.
Market Analysis: Continuously evaluate market dynamics in the African region, providing insights into emerging trends, customer preferences, and potential areas for diversification of battery products.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role in the automotive industry, with a specific focus on battery products and the African region.
Strong knowledge of the automotive aftermarket industry and battery products.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Results-driven with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Willingness to travel extensively, with the expectation of spending a minimum of 200 days in the African region within a year.
This role exclusively focuses on battery products and will not engage in sales for the UAE market.
No company car will be provided.
Commissions based on sales performance will be offered in addition to the base salary.
